Can't miss

I own several clone saws with two of them being purchased from Smelter City. The bad wrap these saws get is because customer service is non-existent if you're dealing directly with Farmertec. Smelter City sells and services these saws and their service is excellent. I highly recommend buying from these guys! BTW, my two saws purchased from Smelter City is a G888 and a G395XP and I love them!

Unfathomable Value

I bought this saw when it was on sale, because I've always heard great things about this shop. i put this saw together on my dining room table, and two days later I put this saw through 3500 pounds of red maple and a massive amount of white birch ... it handled like a broken-in Husqvarna hotsaw and and absolutely ate the wood up. For the money, and for the sake of supporting a really reputable American saw shop, you cannot go wrong. Buy this saw, get a t-shirt and get a medium size bar/chain combo and you will NEVER look back. I have run EVERY kind of saw over almost 20 years and if a saw runs as good as this one does out of the box, it's gonna run great forever and it'll become your "GOOD" saw. For $330, just take it for a whirl. Tell 'em I sent ya. Trust me on this one.

A good friend of mine purchased my older chainsaw . I was looking to step up in power and also to have a little bit newer of a powerhead . My older 288 XP was in amazing shape.. I take very good care of my saws . I run them in competition and I do milling and slab work with them . i’ve never been much of a Husqvarna fan but I thought as well as my 288 XP was doing. I thought I would try a 395 XP out . I do realize this is an aftermarket powerhead but it seems to hold up very well very happy with it . it started on the 3rd pull . Just a few minor adjustments to the carburetor and I’m already run nine tanks of fuel Through it.. I’ve cut a few Hickory Slabs and some maple . I’m running a 36 inch bar on it with a 404 double skip chain .. I’m very happy with it . The quality of the plastic and even the alloyed casing is very strong and very durable . For an aftermarket saw I gave it five stars . Ive owned a few of these Clone saws now and I’ve been very happy so far .
