I followed a recomendation to contact Bluesaws for selecting a milling setup. I believe the recomendation came from someone in the Facebook chainsaw milling group. I sent Bluesaws a pretty detailed email about what my needs were. Scott from Bluesaws replied in a detailed email with a setup he thought would fit my needs. I settled on a Holzfforma 660pro with a 28" and 36" bar and a xcut and rip for each bar. Scott has done milling himself so he made a couple of recomendations such as a HO oil pump, a muffler change, etc. which I agreed with. He didn't try to sell me on those items-he simply suggested them and why he thought they would be helpful based on his own experience. He told me the saw would function fine without, but much better with. He was right! I had Scott do the pre-flight check which is why I ultimately went with Bluesaws. You can buy Holz saws in several places but to have someone go through the saw and test it before they even send it to you is an incredible deal for the price.
The saw fired up great right out of the box and now its my go-to saw. Scott was extremely helpful and is very accessible by email and phone. He answered emails promptly and with a lot of patience due to my lack of knowledge on the clone saws. The price for the package he suggested was more than fair and shipping was fast. If your looking for a Holzfforma I strongly recomend Bluesaws. Also check out their youtube channel. It has a lot of great info.

Best thing money can buy in my opinion it really helps a lot especially when you know that the saw will be put together wright and for me i look at as a cheap insurance because they go through the saw before it even leaves there shop well worth the money

A great way to double check a cheaper version of an essential tool, easy to speak with and great confidence in solving any problems.
